You head to the kitchen to get… um… wait - what did you want again?
Seriously? It was seconds ago that you decided to go to the kitchen… not minutes - seconds. And just that fast you’re standing there, feeling like an idiot with absolutely no idea why you went to the kitchen.
Or, you’re running around “where’s my phone? Anyone see my phone?” Nothing wrong with that except you’re running around with your phone in your hand, and it totally escapes you that you’re holding it.
Or, you run downstairs to tell a family member something and … nope… uh nope. Never mind it flew out of your head a nanosecond before you blurted it out.
Or, the salty teenager looks at you and says “it took you 4 tries to get my name right. You even threw the dog’s name in there this time.”
And, the list goes on… and on… and on.
Your brain… it’s the most mysterious part of the body. At 5:00 A.M it can do complex calculations to figure more snooze time … and it can forget in a second, the name of your 3rd kid.
While there are no absolutes or guarantees in life, there are things you can do to give your brain a boost to keep it healthy:

While there are no absolutes or guarantees in life, there are things you can do to give your brain a boost to keep it healthy:
Get plenty of sleep
The experts say you need 7-8 hours of uninterrupted sleep at night, so your brain can clear abnormal proteins and consolidate your memories.
Given that you wake 2-3 times each night to go potty, I suspect you aren’t getting the recommended allowance here.
Do your best with naps and some sleep-in days to catch up. Even resting outside on a nice day under a shade tree helps to restore your senses.
Be sure to use your Vibriance Sheer Zinc Sunscreen to protect against the harmful rays.

Eat healthy
Load up on brain food - lots of veggies, fruits, healthy oils, and fish. Certain veggies - broccoli, spinach, tomatoes, and some berries - are known to improve brain function and memory.
Other foods such as grains and dark fish that contain a lot of Omega-3 helps to prevent inflammation, depression and preserve cognitive function.
If you aren’t a fan of the dark fish, you can take a fish oil supplement found in most supermarkets, big box or drug stores.
Exercise regularly
The science behind exercise makes this a no-brainer… lol. Exercise keeps your blood well oxygenated as it flows freely through your body to your brain - all that good fresh blood helps with healing and keeps you mentally alert.
The endorphins released through exercise improves your mood and reduces the negative effects of stress and anxiety.
For best results, you want to exercise daily for a good 20-30 minutes if doing a moderate intensity exercise and 40-60 minutes for a low impact workout.
Do brain games
Your brain is a muscle. To stay healthy you need to exercise it regularly. Puzzles and games are a great way to stay mentally active and exercise that muscle!
Some good options include: Reading, Sudoku, card games, crosswords, or jigsaw puzzles. Also, any activity that requires dexterity and/or flexibility, such as - painting, drawing or woodworking.
Have fun - do brain-teasers with your family during breakfast or dinner. It’s a fun way to spend time with each other.
Be socially active.
That’s right – change out of your comfy cloths… put those fuzzy slippers away for next winter… and get out there and talk to people.
Having conversations is one of the best ways to keep your brain active.
The topics don’t matter - it’s the process your brain goes through to listen, understand and form counter thoughts that keep it healthy.
And there’s the social element that benefits as well – socially active people are happy people… happiness releases endorphins which we know are good for the brain!
