10 Ways to DIY Your Spa Day at Home!

Pamper yourself with a DIY spa day, here's how you can get started...

If you are new to the at-home spa experience or you want to take your current routine from ordinary to extraordinary, we have some DIY spa ideas for you!


 Gentle Body Scrub


A body scrub is a popular way to exfoliate your whole body to remove dead cells to expose healthier skin that can better absorb lotions and creams.  Massaging your skin with a body scrub is a great way to relax and rejuvenate!

It’s not recommended you use a body scrub more than 2-3 times a week, depending on your skin type.  For best results, consult your dermatologist.

 

A simple DIY body scrub can be made with equal parts brown sugar and oil - such as olive, almond, grape seed, or coconut. For an added boost, add a few drops of your favorite essential oil.

 

Follow up with a moisturizing lotion or try Vibriance Age Defying Body Serum.  This full-body skincare serum targets crepey, thin, rough, dry, sagging, and wrinkled skin.


Invigorating Foot Mask

Foot masks are designed to gently exfoliate your skin while allowing ingredients like shea or cocoa butter and plant oils to lock in moisture, deep beneath the top layers of skin. 

If you are time-crunched, this mask begins to work in less than 10 minutes and can be used anytime your feet feel dry or crusty. 

 

To make the mask, mix together equal parts of fine cornmeal, unrefined shea butter, rolled oats, and Epsom salts.  For added pleasure, mix in your favorite essential oil. 

 

Massage the mixture onto your feet… Let it sit for a few minutes...  And, then rinse off. 

Moisturizing Hand Treatment

Nothing is more painful than rough, cracked hands in the winter.  Similar to the foot mask, the moisturizing hand treatment removes the dry skin while it locks in moisture deep beneath the surface.

You can use this treatment as often as needed to keep your hands soft and healthy.  Mix together 1 tablespoon each of olive oil and sugar, and 1 teaspoon of almond or grapeseed oil. 


Massage the mixture into your hands using a circular motion.  Be sure to work it across your knuckles and around your fingers where rough, cracked skin tends to form.  Rinse off after a few minutes.

Calming Facial

There are many DIY recipes you can try depending on your skin type or desired effect.  Here is a simple treatment that soothes and calms your skin- combine 1 teaspoon of honey, 1 teaspoon of coconut oil, 1 ripe avocado, and 2drops of lavender oil. 

 

Apply a thin layer to your face.  Sit and relax for about 10 minutes.  Rinse with warm water.

Soothing Spa Bath

For a simple and delightful spa bath, combine 1 cup of Epsom salt, 1 cup of sea salt, and ½ cup baking soda.  Pour the mixture into the bottom of your tub along with a few splashes of your favorite fragrant essential oil.  Fill the tub with warm water.

 

Carefully step into your oasis and set it all free!
